Rehemption — hemp and medical cannabis consultancy
Rehemption — hemp and medical cannabis consultancy

Who we are

The consultancy

Hemp and medical cannabis consultancy on the African-to-EU corridor.

Rehemption was born in South Africa’s hemp and cannabis industry. The practice now sits on the trade: partner facilities in Lesotho, the Congo and South Africa, buyers in Germany, UK, Poland, France, Portugal and wider EU, and a file in the middle that customs, a Qualified Person, or a farm-gate offtake can actually use.

We do not sell packages. We take a mandate — industrial hemp as a crop, medical cannabis as a medicine, food, cosmetics or extracts as their own box — and we stay until the goods can legally move. Richard leads offtake, licences and the legal avenues. Justin holds the Irish and EU corridor.

The consultants on the deal

Richard Dennehy

Richard Dennehy - Director / CEO

Richard Dennehy is CEO of Rehemption and the lead consultant clients work with when they need hemp and cannabis to move from idea to a live deal. He has the knowledge and know-how to get product moving — offtake, supply, and the commercial path from cultivation through to the end buyer — and he is the person who handles the contracts, licences, and legal avenues that make those deals executable. Operators come to Richard when the industry feels opaque: he translates regulation into a workable plan and stays with the transaction until it is signed and in motion. As leader of the business, he sets the standard for hands-on consulting, not theory from the sidelines.

Justin Whittaker

Justin Whittaker - Director

Justin Whittaker is a Director at Rehemption, based in Ireland. An operator at heart, he spent years running hospitality and commercial teams before building a second career in IT Engineering, Software Development and Digital Products. He now leads Rehemption’s European presence — opening Irish and EU market access, standing up the systems behind consultations, offtake and partner networks, and turning African production capability into trade-ready relationships. Justin’s focus is practical: compliance pathways, digital infrastructure and the commercial groundwork that lets operators move from idea to execution.
